Sahib Shihab (born Edmond Gregory 23 June 1925 in Savannah, Georgia died 24 October 1989 in Tennessee) was a jazz saxophonist (baritone, alto, and soprano) and flautist.He first played alto saxophone professionally for Luther Henderson at age 13 and went on to study at the Boston Conservatory and to play with trumpeter Roy Eldridge. He played lead alto with Fletcher Henderson in the mid forties.He was one of the first jazz musicians to convert to Islam and changed his name in 1947. During the late 1940s, Shihab played with Thelonious Monk. During this period, he also found time to appear on many recordings by artists including Art Blakey, Kenny Dorham and Benny Golson. The invitation to play with Dizzy Gillespie's big band in the early fifties was of particular significance as it marked Sahib's switch to baritone.

Elvira was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and began his musical career playing jazz trumpet there, with his uncle, Rafael Elvira, in his orchestra, he continued in his father's band and later started his own band who played at the Hotel San Juan. In 1966, he joined the voice faculty of the Indiana University School of Music, during his eight years there and performed baritone roles in many of the school's opera productions.Elvira debuted at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City in 1978 and performed there over 100 times during the next 12 years. In 1974, he made his first appearance with the New York City Opera. His signature role was that of Figaro in The Barber of Seville.

Dave Babcock is a Canadian saxophonist, singer, bandleader and producer who is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia. Earlier in Dave's career the styles of music he was most interested in and comfortable playing were blues, jazz and R&B. He plays all saxophones but mostly tenor for jazz and blues while still very comfortable with alto and baritone. Babcock plays Selmer MK VI saxophones. The Temptations, Mary Wilson of The Supremes, K.D. Lang and Taj Mahal are all artists with whom he has played. He has also opened for artists such as Dr. John, Stevie Ray Vaughan and The Pointer Sisters. Dave counts among his influences Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins, and Stanley Turrentine.
